2:28 is an immortal riff yeah but it sounds cool so

oh gee they use a couple of riffs that sound like Metallica so it's obviously a ripoff and it makes it objectively terrible.
honestly if that's supposed to be the basis of how music works than about 90% of the albums on this site would be less than a 2

ya these guys should use atonal riffs and 8/3 tempo instead of conventional song structure

There is a difference between ripping something off or taking inspiration/ a similarity. If everything was the same, than as said above, all albums are poor. Inspiration is almost always persent.

Logical continuation of BF and OI, plenty of reference to those albums but I like how this is a concept album, one song with ten movements or episodes, the energy and drive of which are enormous. 73 minutes pass in a moment. Wouldn't say it outshines BF and OI that much tho, the individual tracks & riffage on those albums remain incredible and catchy as hell.

Never said it was terrible. Hence my rating.

it's probably a 2 because you can't rate anything over a 4.3 less than that

Love how you guys ask for proof and when I give it you you claim plagiarism is ok. This site is shockingly bad if you think this is better than Metallica or Beethoven.

Hey Ghandhilion, didn't I apologize to you on RYM for the exact thing you just did to Toondude10? You know, going after individuals for their music preference?
I suggest you apologize to him for your harsh remarks. It's only fair at this point.

Yeah I only attack someone if they attack me.

Yes...one part of one song and a few similar riffs here and there. Let's ignore the whole concept, the fusion of Tech Thrash sounding like Death on speed, the vocal delivery and momentum changes between each segments that is very rarely seen in Thrash at that speed and precision. I've heard an album full of plagiarism, this isn't it.

Yes, this album. Psychotropia sounds like The Sound of Perseverance. Parts of it also sound stolen from Scavenger of Human. Even if its not a direct rip off, no band should be top 20 for worshiping over bands and not creating their own style. How can you guys think this albums chart position is anything but silly.

Lol if Death sounded anything like this I'd be a huge fan, but I'm not.

The chart position is silly af I agree (Was thinking of lowing this tbh but I need more jamz) but even then...so? It's not a direct rip off as you said, it's an influence in their sound so I don't see the problem. It doesn't have to be an a completely original creation to be acclaimed, it has it's own quirks that make me go "Right there, that's a Vektor album and they have their own creation".

I agree it's being hyped a bit hard, but it's not straight plagiarism. It's a good combo of styles from a few good bands (something like Voivod/Death/Aspid). I doubt the 4.6 will stick for long.

'parts of it also sounded'
Stopped reading right there.

I think this will be seen as a Thrash classic, 4.6 not quite due to anti hype train as with alot of things but that will change little.

I wouldn't care if people just thought it was aoty. But this is as overhyped as Sunbather. No way is this better than Paranoid.

" This site is shockingly bad if you think this is better than Metallica or Beethoven."
this is better than metallica.

Your just looking for bad points to be honest. Led zeppelin also plagerizes. Does it mean all their albums are junk. Not at all.
