"What other ones are worth digging up?"

both sleepover series and maybe they will sing for us. and as talons pointed out, stranded under endless sky but that's not ambient (i'd say it's kinda kenotic-lite)

Yea SUES is brilliant. Very criminally overlooked.

I just heard Raising Your Voice for the first time this week. While I liked the overall atmosphere of it, it felt too long and repetitive to me.

This is easily a top 5 band for me, but Kenotic, SUES and to an extent this is where length isn't really a huge problem for me. Other than that it's the band's objective shortcoming, arguably. Especially Departure Songs.

"I just heard Raising Your Voice for the first time this week. definitely check 'parkers chapel' and 'sinking inside yourself' off 'Asleep In The Downlights' too, the other 2 songs on the EP have weird vocalist features and it doesn't work well but the aforementioned songs are 2 of hammocks best, Sinking being my all time fav.

very interesting you say that zar, this one seems to fly by the fastest for me out of their discog

I think Departure Songs feels the most overlong to me, its probs my least fav by them bc of it tbh

keep in mind tho, that the style these guys play is one im 1000% biased towards, so im usually guaranteed to enjoy myself with this shit

I can make an argument as to why i like it but i can understand why others may find it draggy or boring
