The 21st Century Pink Floyd
Between these two compositions are 4 pop rock tracks.
I think this by default is cause enough for my review to be flagged lol

Happiness III is indeed more poppy and SW is never denying that he is attracted to the simplicity quality pop has. That's why he liked working for Blackfield.

c'mon Myth you're really gonna defend that statement?

I'm not defending anything. I'm just saying that Happiness III is a bit poppy in structure and sound. What's bad about it? The other songs are far from pop, but that specific one is.

You just seemed to be trying to defend the statement that the middle songs are pop, by saying that Happiness III leaned toward that direction, which I thought was kind of eye-rolling. In any case I was just poking fun at the reviewer in drawing attention to some ah questionable statements of his.

No, stating that all four songs are pop would be wrong oc. Sunday Rain Sets In is as far from pop as a song could be.

Happiness III would not be out of place in any Neal Morse's prog rock release. i dig that track.

All the songs on here and HCE are great, poppy or not. I liked the electronic, modern influences he's taken for HCE and these songs. I'm also a sucker for those melancholic arpeggiated guitar melodies Wilson is so fond of, but if anything I feel like this release signifies that he should move in a new direction next so that it doesn't get repetitive in his future endeavors.

Pop or not, SW is always a perfectionist so he couldn't let anything subjectively bad to the world. I read in an interview that his next album is set for late 2017. I am intrigued (of course) but at the same time I am a bit worried, because even if he never seems to get out of ideas, there'll be a day when he will.
