Why does this album have a 3.8 avg compared to the others that are hovering around a 3? What makes this one so good? Asking as someone who heard their first album in high school, thought it was generic as shit, and then never listened to this band again.

Landon brought all of his best elements to this album, without being overly edgy. So many different styles on here as well, and he nails every single one of em.

Yeah HISD was just a rare moment where he put forth all of the best elements of Plot. He found the perfect balance, but then lost it again. Vocal performances are fantastic, the songs are serious and personal instead of douchey/edgy/anti-religious, good mix of styles and emotions.

Hopefully new album is closer to this than Dispose but paid in full still slaps. That album, and his solo stuff, further shows how versatile Landon is as a vocalist tho.
Also @getlow check out his Ai640 pt 1-3 solo albums. I think it's better than this.

The colors are pretty, but the whole “hehe check it out, we took a pic of a hot naked girl and made it the artwork for our super cool serious album” thing is always dumb. The tropey pop vocals annoy me when it’s Plot and not his solo stuff, but whatever. Still excited to hear the rest
