Me too hawks! Great review bo! I agree, this album slays. How good is threat level number 3? The riffs are awesome and trevors vocals on that are non stop, in your face, and intense. Kinda reminds me of in hell is where she waits for me!

I really wish I liked this more than I do, but I consistently find myself losing interest in what's going on by the time I reach Threat Level No.3... Don't get me wrong, it's still great melodeath but I just can't help but feel like some of these songs are just too formulaic for my liking. The Advent and That Which Cannot Die... seem just bland. Some of the tracks stand head and shoulders over the others (Receipt, Abysmal, The Fog come to mind), but it's just like there's something missing that the band had captured on Ritual, Nocturnal, and (to a lesser extent) Everblack. Maybe I'm just outgrowing them : /

No launch, i see where you are coming from. I feel like this is a step down from ritual and everblack, albeit a very small one. After releasing back to back monsters in ritual and everblack, i feel like they set the bar very high and people who are fans of the band may have had their expectations extremely high.
