I still prefer Scale the Summit's release over this

I pretty much agree here, but i'm much more positive on where the band has decided to go with their sound. So i'll probably review this soon too. Nice review

been giving this so many tries, but as usual it's just pretty much a snooze. they're on point instrumentally like always, but the songs lack pretty much ANY memorable moments. I never really found myself tapping my foot or bobbing my head along to anything. a lot of the riffs feel stock as shit and the djenty parts are trying way too hard to sound djenty, which is funny since the production makes them sound paper thin
dan's vox are ok i guess, more suitably to the milder type of songs, music and overall sound they're playing
standard fare from tesseract these days

Kinda interesting how much attention djent gets on this website considering that its not on the whole very well liked

I liked Dan's rap verse, reminded me of Faith No More for some reason.

I finally got around to listening to this. It's about on par with AS for me, if a bit better in a few instances.

I haven't listened to much Tesseract. I thought the newest Skyharbor was super boring and this is too.
A few tracks I would listen to again but most I would never. Soooo boring. And I have a soft spot for djent. Maybe its this particular niche I don't like. But I like The Contortionist, Disperse, Northlane, ect
Northlane's Node wasn't mind blowing but it was great. Heavier parts and vocal hooks everywhere.

I remember everyone going crazy over northlanes first album but with the exception of like four songs I found it pretty forgettable too.
