This has some really good tracks in the first half, but that's about it really.

every song on this is killer for me, think either Norf Norf or Summertime would be my favorite

finally getting into this and it's pretty great so far. one thing I haven't really seen discussed that much that I'm kinda wondering about is the beginning of the second verse of Surf where he's talking about how like a pill "kills more black kids than the feds" or whatever. maybe I'm missing a larger context or something but it seems kinda weirdly politicized/conservative given the kind of shit he raps about on the rest of the album, and I'm not really sure what to make of it

that's fair I guess but it also brings up a kind of "abortion = lack of self-respect" thing which is also kinda troubling. although I guess he talks a lot about motherhood as a positive thing (see jump off the roof) so maybe it is more about pride and less about "murder" and shit. idk gonna have to listen a bunch more to figure stuff out probably

maybe you should listen to some real hip hop and stop over-analyzing contemporary b.s. like this that literally has nothing important to say about anything and is clearly just made to bump at da club.

this may be good fuccboi shit but its still fuccboi shit, you're reading deep where deep dont exist.

i mean trying to find some kind of profound insight in an album like this is just a recipe for disappointment, sounds like a waste of time

pretty much the only reason i can even enjoy this is by not taking half of what he says seriously

rofl are you kidding dude? srs question, are you stupid?

literally ALL the hip hop you listen to falls into this category

you're just hating on your own music taste right now

i mean the difference is that this is decent and the rest of the trap and hip pop stuff you like is garbage but yeah

trap nights are aight, your music is garbage but its fun to dance to. the issue is that if you listen to the hip hop you, arcade, in fact, do listen to, outside of the club, for any purposes other than turning up, you're an idiot.

i can just see it now, arcade sits at home in his armchair listening to rae shmurrmehred while contemplating the complexities of the human condition before turning up and going to club-koala911 to grind on some bitties while listening to arctic monkeys and the smiths

get a grip on reality

and yeah actually thanks for bringing up that DS2 review lmao

arcade: "when futures says "bitches all up on my dick, drank sum sizzurp, gonna b sick" he's offering deep insights into the nuances of empiricism and the struggle of man to find himself within the confines of the capitalist hierarchy."
