finally back into my discography run of this band and god DAMN I did not expect "Tetragrammaton" or "Meccamputechture" for an album that I was told was basically unrestrained jams.

This album gets quite overlooked especially when it gets compared to Frances, Deloused or Bedlam.

"They lost their marbles on Bedlam big time"
Agreed, no matter how many times I listen to it, I just can't enjoy it as much as the first three albums.

The first half of Bedlam is amazing. The second half is painful. This is easily their worst though.

“Underrated gem of an album”
They’ve had moments of brilliance throughout their discography. Their album debut is the only one that remains that way all the way through, IMO.

Deloused is definitely in a league of its own, unironically I think it's one of their most straightforward albums. Frances all the way to Bedlam is when things got weird.

It can be quite tiring, however it's a rewarding listen.

Hmm yeah, probably.
Day of the Baphomets is their best song.

Also, the critique of this being directionless I've seen a lot over the years is so dumb. The latin and fusion elements give this a really singular and lush atmosphere, moreso than anything in their discog.
