At least two guitar solos are painfully out of tune in this album, why else do you think so many people say that this band can't write solos?

I'd honestly be really surprised if they didn't make the guitar solos sound like that intentionally bro. I mean, really? She Painted Pt. 2? There's no way that they would've let something that had come out so accidentally shitty to be put into the final record.

Ya that one sounds weird and another one I think, but Melancholy Spirit and Hallways have amazing leads and solos.

Agreed hard. Melancholy Spirit is such an emotional track, along with Hallways.

Indeed, as well as As Embers Dress The Sky, my favorite on here. Gets unreal in the second half.

People tend to have blind love towards The Mantle and Ashes Against the Grain and I completly understand why, but for me this is Agalloch's best album

Then again, I can't really disagree with beefshoes because he's one of those silly, loveable users who's impossible to dislike, amirite??? lmao

Just listened to this on the new white vinyl. Best $50 I've ever spent. Pressing could've been a bit better (Side D was pretty crackly,) but it's still absolutely unbelievable.

Not to be that guy, but I have tried to show my buddies/brothers this band countless times and it doesn't seem to resonate with them. The fault has to be with them right? I don want to be a snob, but I thought this album would turn them off of the suicide silence type of metal. No luck yet. I need new friends I think.

Yeah should look for new friends man. There has to be something wrong with them if this doesn't resonate.
