this is a really special ablum yea
Interstella 5555 is rly what makes it for me bc its it takes this concept of sonic aesthetics that i always talk so goddamn much about and realizes it thru the medium of this nostalgia-seeped dream that's so clearly an homage to the media that shaped so much of Daft Punk's sensibilities
like the music and animation on their own would be kickass but in tandem.... VERY very good

For some reason I thought I've never heard this in full, jammed it today and knew everything save for one track.
Their reach was insane, damn.

Grew up with this album never really taking note of it until college but “Crescendolls” is hilarious and awesome.

Yeeeeesssss!!! It has everything! So catchy too. But I think you could say that about this entire album.

I'm not sure if you're into Mega Man, but Voyager totally sounds like it could have come from the Battle Network series. And I grew up with those games, so the song is always a huge hit of nostalgia for me

It's pretty good, but I don't get why people get crazy about this

been trying to figure out why the production on this falls so flat for me. I think it's because the bass is weirdly quiet and the kick is very loud, and every time the kick hits, it's like it sucks away the rest of the mix. definitely needed some sidechain compression or to just be quieter
