I don't think I've ever had a problem with the band, they seemed to click with me right away. Withering to Death was my first exposure, GARBAGE hit me really hard and I loved them.
I got Vulgar and Kisou in the mail the other day. I'm already familiar with Vulgar and love the album but I hadn't listened to Kisou too much, I have to say that I really really like it.

I find The Marrow of a Bone to be kinda underrated, though not to the extent of this band's pre-Vulgar stuff. Heard that album threw a whole bunch of people off just for how Americanized the material sounded, but I still managed to enjoy it a lot; Disabled Complexes and Clever Sleazoid in particular are standouts.

The Marrow of a Bone is great. I definitely don't think it's their best but I don't think there's a bad track. I even dig the mosh-worthy tracks like Lie Buried with a Vengeance and The Deeper Vileness.

Dear Lord, just looked up some lyrics for a few songs on Kisou...I'm familiar with how messed up Kyo's lyrics can be but dang, Embryo is messed up. I love it though.

The Marrow of a Bone has so many awesome songs on it, but in comparison to everything else they've done it's definitely the most generic sounding album they've done.
