For me it sits pretty comfortably between Long Live and One Wing. All three are stellar tho.

Only heard One Wing (where the hell can I stream this? Come on, Spotify!), should move on to something else by The Chariot. Although I do not think it is the glorious masterpiece that others will have you believe

It's still cool though, have it at 4

Saw this band last night. The band put on one of the oddest performances I've ever seen (not necessarily in a good way). Essentially the drummer and Josh were facing left-right rather than forward, so they were essentially staring each other in the eyes for most of the show rather than actually looking at the freaking audience, the other half of the time Josh would straight up turn around and face the back wall. Stage fright or wtf is this?

They played maybe 4 songs in the course of the 45 minutes or so they played. No song was played anything like it is on the album, they would play like 30 seconds of a song then randomly jump into like freestyle jamming before going back into the actual song but they did this consistently the whole show and it got really fucking annoying especially because most of the jamming wasn't good at all, they'd take an energetic songs slow it down to almost nothing for a while then play again. It was kind of cool the first time but got really fucking annoying after the 20th time.

One really cool highlight though is that he randomly burst into covering par of One Armed Scissor by At The Drive-In during one of the songs.

Also Josh has literally zero charisma on stage everytime he tried to talk to the audience (which was a lot) he was like stuttering and visibly nervous. Wouldn't even matter that much if he didn't spend half the show begging us to buy their merch it was really getting fucking pathetic.

Damn that really sucks to hear. I saw The Chariot a few years back play with Haste The Day in this church basement and they put on one of most insane live performances Ive ever seen, Josh included. They were pretty much playing in the pit the whole time and were just going apeshit. Then Josh threw a floor tom into the crowd and broke some kids nose.

It's a shame I've heard these guys were awful live from a few people now :/

Wow when I saw them with Trophy Scars they were excellent. They occasionally went a bit jam-y but really put on an excellent show. Weird

Hi!

Was listening to this and noticed I hadn't rated it and upon reading these comments wanted to give my two cents.

Last time I saw the chariot was a few years ago in SLC sandwiched between Norma Jean and Horse the Band- I wanna say it was the Bless the Martyrs Tour, but that seems... wrong? Anyway, the Chariot was terrible. They played a bunch of nonsensical shitty grind between portions of songs while trying to give everyone a seizure with the strobe lights and face paint... it was bad.

The first time I saw the was right when The Fiancee came out- they opened for Misery Signals (just before Controller came out)- and they fucking destroyed. It was, at the time, one of the better live performances I had seen. The sound was perfect, they played full songs and the whole band was going nuts the whole time, which is probably a big reason why I, unpopularly, still love the Fiancee a lot.

I'm not sure what the fuck has happened between now and then, but I may just keep my jamming of 68 to my headphones only, which kind of sucks.

surprised at how much i've been seeing there stuff at my town. I was expecting them to be the kind of band that gets like no attention whatsoever, but they must be getting real popular if my local stores stock their stuff
