this is like an intense version of Periphery, in a good way, only thing that bothering me is the kickdrum in

the mix, it sounds kind of clicky and it bugs me

I never liked any "djent" except for Monuments and AAL.(though I wouldn't consider djent band, they are way more than that)

Monuments debut has some insane music writing and flawless musician performance. That EP however ruined by really shitty vocal and subpar production.

The Amanuesis however, got all the previous issue fixed. The song writing even excesses debut EP by a lot. I already looking forward the next album.

"mall doesn't like anything except pop and like three emo albums and he tells us this in every heavy music thread"

his opinions are sometimes atrocious to read but dude he likes converge (which is relatively heavy btw) so he's good in my books

I find the guitar a bit too harsh in this record. Would rate this higher if it didn't stick its neck out of the mix too much. It's very prevalent during transitions to/from the quieter parts.

On the plus side, this album grooves hard. Also Baretto.

Just got this in the mail. Finally! Reminds me of The Tea Party mixed with metalcore.

TooManyFriends: Yeah, I've had this album on regular rotation for the last few months, and it's still extremely solid. I, The Destroyer wrecks me every time.
