Jesus stop rushing everyone to do "better" reviews just because you don't like this one. You can't
possibly have a very good objective opinion on a musical piece after less than 24 hours of its
release. Add in the amount of time required for the average person to adequately express that opinion
in written form--on top of everything else they have to do in a day--and it's even more absurd.

It was a joke geez calm down. I was hoping to write a review of this before the stream but they released already streamed
it weeks before the release date. Why do bands do this? They must lose money, and I haven't even listened to their newer
albums yet. This band's notorious for making it difficult for people to write about them, so maybe I just won't bother.
There'll already be 2+ reviews up by then anyway

Are you asking why bands stream music before release dates? I assume now adays it's to beat the leaks and to initially control where/how fans can listen to the music.

A 2.5 rating?! HA! This fuckin site has turned into a bunch of teenage snobs with their Wavves albums in hand, waving bullshit at monotone faced crowds.

Album Rating: 2.0
saying it's a 4.5 at this stage is arguably just as superficial as the 2.5 the reviewer gave it

I guess that makes sense but it seems like they're giving in to the leaks and it's also just another way for people to listen to the music for free. I mean this was over two weeks before the release date. Not that I'm complaining, it's great for the fans

I think it's just because why the fuck not? Band's nowadays know that people(myself included) are just
gonna download their album for free so I think they are just taking it upon themselves so no one else
leaks it.

If anything streams and the like benefit at least initial sales of a records due to people being able
to buy an album the first week after previewing and then preordering it potentially weeks beforehand.
If Deathwish hadn't allowed free downloads of Sunbather for those who preordered it, do you think it
would've sold as well in its first week? At the very least I don't think it would've hit #130 on the
Billboard 200, which probably gave it a bit more mainstream exposure.
Lookit me, talkin bout deafheaven in an agalloch thread wow such trendy
