Second half of new era was kind of a flatline for me but the first few songs were great

But they're sooo slow and the drummer plays blast beats at the weirdest times that don't really suit what was happening in the music

Talons, finally someone sees it too. I never liked the old drummers choice of timing for when he would use blasts. It was like
he just did it because he could.
Like the start of darkest day of man. It's always sounded like nails on a chalkboard to me.
The new drummer is better in every way. Blacked Out is where it's at.

Yeah the old drummer was probably just as talented as the new guy, but this new guy seems to understand dynamics a lot better. And Blacked Out is probably top 3 on here with t/t and Let Me Burn

The only song here that sucks is Worship The Digital Age. How Times Have Changed chugs really hard and its awesome. My Favorites from this be Blacked Out and Fall Of The Hypocrites.

Probably, but at least this has some knowledge of dynamics especially in the drums

Hmm those have never been a huge grab for me, in this particular band. In this album i feel like all instruments simply thread along and that's it. First 3 tracks are pretty good, rest feels very washed out

Self titled was the miles ahead. The drumming alone is beastly

Okay so all this talk made go back to it and i'm liking it way more now. I guess i entered with low expectations now, not expecting actual death metal haha. Yeah this is decent enough. I think i've said this before, but again the vocals could do with a better mixing.
