Yeah, listen to them counter-chronology. It worked for me!
Plus at the time I didn't even like Faith No More after hearing Angel Dust and The Real Thing. Mr. Bungle actually helped me get into FNM, is that weird?

The whole fun of "Sweet Charity" is that it is inviting as hell despite all the crazy shit that Bungle did on Disco Volante only a few years back. [174,289]

Their discog, like any good discog, is like a story. You wouldn't start at the finish and work your way backwards with these guys or Radiohead or The Beatles (or anyone really) unless you were a fucking idiot

Not really. In my opinion, the most accessible is usually the best to start with. Some amazing albums can scare someone
away from a band due to a lack of accessibility.
Each album is more like a book.
You can read an author's bibliography in any order, right?

My Beatles experience was all out of order.
Also with Radiohead, who on Earth starts with Pablo Honey? ...

This is really a strong statement because it depends on the artist
You'd have to be an idiot to start with the Mosley FNM albums for example

I'm kinda with Ars here. Normally, if I start to realize I really love a band, I'll go back to the start and listen to them in order though.

What's wrong with doing FNM chronologically? Mosley had some good material
I just really agree with Judio's point that Sweet Charity has a whole new level of meaning when coming after Disco. The band has a whole narrative arc that somebody starting with Calfornia won't be able to appreciate

Introduce Yourself is on par with Album of the Year, honestly.

Mosley had some alright songs but starting with them would probably put most people off FNM for a long time
The Real Thing is easily the most logical starting point

Everyone has the pointy points. Idk who to agree with.

Album of the Year gets way too much hate.
It's a 4 in my opinion. Introduce Yourself is only a 3 for me.

Both are 3.5s. AOTY has some unbelievable highs, but it also has some shit weighing it down.

Other than "Paths of Glory" and maybe "Stripsearch" I can't agree.
"Collision" is one of my favorite FNM songs ever. Oh and "Mouth to Mouth"
|
| |
Stripsearch is one of the highlights maaaaan. Also that video is the best music video of all time.

Nah. "Collision", "Helpless", "Mouth to Mouth", "Ashes to Ashes", "Got That Feeling", "Home Sick Home", and maybe "Last Cup of Sorrow" are the highlights for me.
Especially "Collision", seriously

The Patton-written songs on there suck
But god the singles are good
