definitely not bad/mediocre, just not deserving the mounds of hyperbolic claims it receives tbh

^honestly, most of this album sounds the same to me. his voice isn't terrible but it's awfully monotonous. i wouldn't go out of my way to get this shut off if someone were playing it in their car with me or in a social setting (in fact, i can get into it well enough at parties and know most of the lyrics because my parents used to love this), but i agree with cyg about it being lower-tier grunge

I don't think i gave more than a 3.5 to a grunge album. They're all overrated. Still some good shit.

The production on this does give it a samey quality sometimes. If you want to hear a more varied Pearl Jam, check Vitalogy.
