idk, I've listened to a few songs off this and they all sounded good

maybe I just got lucky and heard the good tracks but I liked what I was hearing

it was not as grandiose as Prisoner but they seem to be more focused on just developing one idea as opposed to branching it and I think it works. maybe their new style does not work as much as it did on Prisoner but this was by no means a failure

It's not one of the better live streams I've seen, technically, but a massive treat it is, regardless.

I feel like I'm in the minority of really digging Psychotherapy and Look of Love. I don't mind the latter's synths.

My problem with the album is that there are too many bland songs. I don't feel the ambition that was present on Prisoner (and, heck, the title track here). Angels of Fire is majorly boring and a contender for "worst Jezabels song", in my book. Also, many disagree with my thinking of The End as a mere lesser Endless Summer, but - really - it is.

Besides that the conventional album length is really anticlimactic. After one large-sized pop-rock album and three short, but stomping EPs this just feels like a bit of a dud.

Yeah, I don't disagree with much of what you have said. Pretty much every point is relative to their past work though, so it really does come down to expectations. Glad to see we still agree with the rating though.

True that. It's not like they're exactly unadventurous, either, on this thing, but expectations were really sky high. I'm still sort of happy we got a handful of really solid songs, though.

I'm really digging Look of Love for some reason lately.

Yeah, the opener/title track is an effective bridge between LPs.

I'm like three months late but I'm disappointed that they censored/cut/edited the Look of Love video for whatever reason. That pickup truck line was arguably my favourite part of the song.

It's great. I'm one of the few, but I like it better than their debut.
