Very odd since Art of Life and Dahila were recorded on the same label.
Also Yoshiki just teased a world tour...only on his personal profile, not the band's page. I hate him.

Yeah, and i hate they dont use the original album artworks for some reason lol.
Yoshiki is on my good side for a while because of this tho, haha. At least there are some good live versions of Art of Life

bilibili.com the best place for X Japan lives, pretty much everything is on there but I appreciate people mostly want albums on streaming platforms.

Of course Art of Life would be the ONE album they don't put on streaming, lol

My hope for Art of Life not being on streaming is that it'll incentivize more people to listen to their other albums instead of just Art of Life.

God yes, I like their other albums as well.

Ironically one of the strongest runs of albums one can find. There’s not a bad album in their discography.

Agreed! Love all their stuff honestly

Hell, I wouldn't even say there's a merely "good" album in the discog. All of them range from great to amazing, much like (imo) Death's discog

Hell yes! Im eager to see how the album it seems like they will never release will fit into their discog

I'm not very hopeful for the new album tbh, both in terms of when/if it releases and the actual quality of it.

Wonder if they will keep the guest vocalists like Marilyn Manson. Think Yoshiki said he would sing on a song a long time ago lol

Can't say I'm too hopeful for it either. Honestly, at this point, I wish they (and by they, I really mean Yoshiki) would let the project rest in peace. They had such a good initial run, and I just don't see this prospective album living up to the standards of the original discog. Very few bands are capable of pulling a Traced in Air or Surgical Steel-level comeback album, and considering how much conflict there is behind the scenes (especially with Yoshiki and Toshi), I just don't see it working out too well
And keep in mind, I USED to be really excited for a new X album. But after so much time has passed, and given how much bad blood there currently is, I just couldn't be bothered anymore. Pretty sure I mentioned this in a different thread, but same goes for System of a Down

Im not having high hopes either. And would they even be able to tour now? isnt Yoshikis back and arms wrecked from all the years of playing? I remember on the We Are X documentary it seemed like he was in a lot of pain so maybe thats also a factor on why they have delayed this? Probably a lot of things going on behind the scenes. I suspect hides brother played a part in their discog not being on streaming platforms before now, plus the death of Heath, which if i remember correctly Toshi went against the wishes of the band and his familiy and anounced details of his death or something? The lore of this band is just wild lol

Yeah it would be better if they just didn't release the album tbh. Instead of waiting for more X Japan, listen to more Visual Kei classics (Luna Sea's discography is right there).
The main factor behind them not touring now along with Heath dying is Toshi's relationsip with the band.
"The BS started when Toshi allegedly demanded more money to perform in Lunatic Fest 2018 and in the end X couldnt perform. This supposedly pissed Pata off and he got into a argument with Toshi, Yoshiki somehow stopped the fight and they continued to perform in later shows like 3days Makuhari Messe and Dream festival 2018, supposedly high tension between band members resulted in visible bad enviroment on stage during these performances."
"Pata, still pissed after Toshi's comments on the Red Swan incident got into argument with Toshi again supposedly and this time when Yoshiki tried to break it up, Toshi got very mad at yoshiki. Yoshiki again somehow managed to get them together mid 2019 but Toshi allegedly demanded a break to record-release and promote his new album I AM A SINGER 2. This pretty much climaxed the mess and Pata refused to perform or even talk to Toshi again and Yoshiki low-key got mad, so Toshi noped the fuck out of anything related by X japan. (Pata follows every X member on social media except Toshi, Toshi never replies to birthday wishes or wishes anything with other X members and never took pics with them after these incidents, which according to those who told me these rumors, is a credible proof)"
As to what the Red Swan incident was, Yoshiki was kinda pegging Hyde from L'arc en Ciel to be Toshi's replacement. Hence why we have the horrific The Last Rockstars project now.

And Versailles (and Kamijo solo by extension).

I’m also of the mind that they shouldn’t release another album. It’s almost comical at this point, really, and given the tensions Calc mentioned above it would just sully any positive reactions the album could get. Just make the release conditional on either Yoshiki’s passing or the last member of X Japan, Sugizo not counting.

Saying all this, if they do a world tour with Toshi I am still so there lol.
