IM came out, asking the band (on Myspace) about why only Luca and SS made it to album out of all those phenomenal tracks. They fuckin not only didnt reply a word, but they deleted the post. To this day, I still think that was total dick move.
Especially as an artist to fan standpoint. U kno brush it off w/ a quick "no comment" or simply dont respond. Pissed me off, Meanwhile around the same time; Riz Story from Anyone & Chance from Portable (2 of my fav bands @ time) are connecting w/ me personally & helping me obtain their band's recordings, not even seeking $ or letting me give them any. An I cant simply get a glance or un-cunty response from BN (:::Coughs::: Jesse). What a dif, made quite the impression. Call it rash, but same thought I had in that moment is the same I have today, 8yrs later ... "pssshhh! fuck ya'll, the best music U ever created and u dont wanna speak a word about it or act like it exists or this fan that it inspiried/helped etc." (I dont mean 4 just for my single inquiry either, ).
Ehh But I dont mean to Rant. This STarted as simply a shoutout, praising one my fav albums of 2006 (& brand new). Figured Id share my story/confusion surrounding the whole fiasco. Hardly sum jaded fanboy & standby my assessment. But I'm really noone & whats 1 fan for Brand New, they got crazy, epic, & loyal fanbase thats almost a phenomenon. Just like Glassjaw. Ehhh who reading this anyways.....
