I think the metal transition was a natural one. It's great that PT has a pretty diverse catalogue of music. Hopefully they change things up when they get back together in 2020

i'm not even gonna argue about the lyrics. i love most of them but could see why some would say they are bad. to be honest, lyrics aren't THAT significant for me. at least not with PT. i go elsewhere for lyrical content

Lyrics were pretty cool on SD imo, but gradually went downhill after that.

We'll never reach consensus here anyways so whatever.

Haven't jammed any SW solo album yet, I'm way behind.

i know and it pisses me off. i mean, i have high hopes but none of the SW albums have been on par with my favorite PT albums so its upsetting

They're pretty good. You should jam No-Man's Returning Jesus and Schoolyard Ghosts. No-Man is SW's

first band.

Yeah quite a few, it's probably my favourite. GFD is also pretty good, has some pretty dark and experimental elements.

Agreed. I hardly feel inclined to post on PT threads anymore tbh, way too many arguments. Plus, my opinion on this band isn't too popular.
