The first four real songs on this album are possibly the strongest opening stretch of songs on an album i've ever heard. And Elf Tower New Mexico is way to good to have not been released on the original album, would've been one of the album's top tracks easily imo.

I'll try putting it there now and see how it fits. And yeah it easily makes my top 10 HEED songs. Up there with Time Consumer and Everything Evil as my favorite on this album.

The Light and the Glass is most likely my favorite track. Then Willing Well II, IKSOSE3, and then i'd probably put Everything Evil,

Time Consumer, Elf Tower New Mexico, and Delirium Trigger all crowded from 4-7. It's really fucking hard to rank Coheed

though.

Elf Tower does fit really well between Devil in Jersey City and Everything Evil btw.

Not quite the masterpiece that IKSOSE3 is, but still an amazing record, probably their second best overall.

And considering it's a debut, wow.

I've listened to this once and mean to listen to it some more.

Obviously one listen is not enough.

Yeah you need to. Took me 5-10 listens before it really started to hit me.

I swear Claudio says "I'll fuck your asshole" in the chorus of Elf Tower New Mexico.

probably the most "grower" album of their career, but then again, their best too.

Yes, this is great. Took much longer to click than In Keeping Secrets, which is my favorite Coheed album by far. I'm just ashamed it took me this long to finally cling to their sound.
