Yeah I need to listen to this more. Debris probs has my favorite chorus, I also really dig when those leads come in on Ghost (think that's the right track)
|
| |
at the end of debris when he's all "i know..... that.... i'm not worth it.... I'M NOT WORTH IIIITT" it gets me every time
the end of compass is also golden

The Outlier/Wither/Cursed combo is definitely what keeps me coming back to this album. The leads in Cursed especially.

Slave is the worst song on this album. It really just doesn't fit at all. Not a bad song in its own right, really fun and to-the-point for sure, but doesn't add anything to the album as a whole. It rips through and then it's over.

"Slave is the worst song on this album."
Well we will just have to disagree here. So you basically think it's the worst song on the album cause you don't think it sounds like or fits the context of the album ?

Yup. Like I said, it's not a bad track by any means on its own. It's just got the whole "one of these things is not like the others" vibe. In a bad way.

The riff at :46 in slave is monstrous. I love that part.

Hmmm well I get that I guess cause most of the other songs have more substance cause it sounds like they did a fast, loud,
heavy song just for the sake of it but I don't think that means it's inherently bad (comparatively speaking as well) but oh
well agree to disagree.
Yeah that breakdown is sweet, reminds me of the title track off Prophets
Lol fuck you editing

Yeah I hear ya on that. I just sort of realized how good Brendan sounds on this album as well. He's really honed in on his vocal technique.
