dissapointing, granted they've tried to do it with less. theres definitely 3 fillers on this and they are, Telepath, Trans Ferox, Sundown. I mean Sundown, what a waste, such an average piece. Corsair has more originality in its first 10 seconds alone. Geogaddi towers over this. Theres so many influences on TH it hurts, yea its ok to be influenced but bring something new to the table, its not as original as their last 3 albums. i'm a fan of these since MHTRTC and this is a let down. good but not good enough. its depressingly boring in parts, those parts are supposed to be good. if they hadn't of taken 8 years it may not have been so bad. 8-9 decent tracks on this, the rest meh. Even Geogaddis short vignettes are so original and powerful nothing touches them. Geogaddi still the winner.

@ Fish: "No, not everyone. It just feels like it's everyone cos zealous BoC fans are the loudest and most arrogant. Actually there are loads of people feeling disappointed by this but they just get drowned out by "LOL FAGGOT LISTEN AGAIN WHEN YOUR HIGH"

lol you are actually right, most are seriously seriously in denial, "oh how could our special boc brothers let us down"

well they have, not totally mind, but its also not the second coming you're pretending it is.

Don't understand the "boring" aspects of this, compared to the fact that MHTRTC is way more
repetitive than this.

Jacquard Causeway, Cold Earth, Split Your Infinities and Nothing Is Real are my faves.

"Sundown, what a waste, such an average piece."

It's basically the "Over the Horizon Radar" of the album, do not know how you can't like it, it's so
tranquil and makes for a brief departure from the "dark" aspect of the album.

New Seeds comes out of nowhere and ruins it though for me. That, the length of the album itself and
overly done intro make this a 4 and not a 4.5 for me.

mhtrtc is more repetitive than this? what a load of shit. telephastic workshop, roygbiv, sixtyten, aquarius, an eagle in your mind - all sound nothing alike. this album is just ambiance over and over again.

you guys are wearing fanboy goggles or something, because the songs you're listing as your favourites are pretty derivative of way better boc songs

no, no, just no. I don't even like that album that much but it's much much much more varied and deep than this

If you like BoC then this will be incredible. People who say this is boring clearly don't get

it and so please do not rate.

What? I never said that.......the songs themselves are repetitive, I never said they sound alike. Skip to any section in those songs you mentioned and the same beat is playing. Same thing applies here.

"you guys are wearing fanboy goggles or something, because the songs you're listing as your favourites are pretty derivative of way better boc songs "

Forcing your opinion on people...nice man....

But hey, if you don't dig this then that's fine. I'm not gonna force you to believe this is great.

Over the Horizon Radar in all its 1:08 minutes unfolds such a simple original little melody that Sundown fails to do but sound like one of 1000s of soundtracks synth strings. yea Sundown its calming but its not quality, its kind of generic.

i disagree - those songs evolve as they go. take telephastic workshop, for example: more and more

vocal samples get thrown on top and the bass becomes more prominent as it goes. i don't here the same

evolution hear, just the same motifs repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and

over

All well, that's a shame. Like I mentioned before, I think songs like Jacquard, Cold Earth and Nothing Is Real showcase what you point out really well.

i actually do like those songs, i just think that most songs on their other albums top them. jacquard is beautiful around the halfway point, i just hate how samey most of the rest is. and palace posy shouldn't even be on the album

"what is a MUST have BoC album... dont say all of em.. "

There is an infinite debate among fans. Either Geogaddi or Music Has the Right to Children.

Geogaddi is my favourite album of all time just to put that out there ;)
