That's true. Discovery was one of the first albums I ever bought. That, "Californication" and uh... probably something I'm ashamed of.

Oh yeah, the Pokemon "2 B A Master" CD

just like all those 8 year olds who would rock the hell out to linkin park songs. I remember doing that rather clearly.

My friends were all into Kid Rock and Korn and Slipknot...

I was jamming out to RHCP, Catch 22, and Daft Punk... I was a hipster even back then, oh goodness.

"these guys aren't nostalgic for you cyg, you're like 17"

They aren't. I just feel in love with Discovery months/years ago.

I can't say I did anything when I was young because I had absolutely no interest in listening to music outside the radio until I was about 13 or so.

I grew up with 2 older sisters. Before I developed my own musical taste, I usually listened to whatever they were listening to at the time, which was teen pop... boy bands, and Britney spears, etc.

Or what my dad was into, like Santana, Zeppelin, etc.

I saw BSB in concert twice, and N'Sync once.

Not that there's anything WRONG with that, some of that stuff is okay. But... yeah.

Its an OK album. Really wasn't memorable and didn't have me wanting to listen over.

Best of the lot - Lose yourself to dance, Touch, Doin it right

Just hard to get that excited over this album

"they had very obvious 70s/80s influence on Discovery. very obvious. this one seems to be more abrupt and deliberate, but still"

Yeah, but it wasn't like funky guitar. To me, this album all kinda sounds the same. Same funky guitar in every song. I just don't like it. The only reason it got anything above a 1 is just because its Daft Punk

I absolutely love touch and contact. The rest is somewhere between okay and great but skip-able for me. Still very good though
