Doesn't have anywhere near the replay value of One.

That may be true, but its the first time I can distinguish them apart from all the pro djent I thought was average.

I keep listening to this. It's really an intriguing album. Sometimes I feel it is some of the best
stuff I've heard in years, at other moments it just seems like a horrible waste of potential.
Thanks for the neg by the way, whoever that was. Mind telling me why?

Album is a slow burn, so hopefully people give it a few listens before completely bashing it.

Am I the only one who feels like the guitar s sound really flat an weak? They don't have that fierce strike an punch like on One.

Great review, pos'd. And definitely what i think of this album too.
The guitars stand in the back a bit too much and the voice is too much of a highlight. Sometimes it does work, but at other times it gets kinda dull. Will probably end up 3.5'ing it too.

>It's similar Jimmy Eat World's Goodbye Sky Harbor
PERFECT example.
After a few song trailers I was highly disappointed and ready for the album to blow. And while I believe the last guy certainly did a better job in the heavier parts, this is a much different album. There's so much more ambience that One just hinted at when it wasn't chugging away. I'm 15 minutes into this album....15 minutes and I can tell I'm going to end up liking it more than One. And One is one of my all time favs.
