I don’t care how much intrigue it has. It definitely has merit in its intrigue but the song would have been so much better if it was cut so much shorter. It’s not hard to understand we people wouldn’t like it. I’m older now so I wanna go through all this bands stuff again. A 3.5 is about right still because I love and hate things about this album lol

idk something something you’re too much of a slave to the build / payoff mechanic that it becomes difficult to recognise anything to the contrary. Sometimes the journey is the goal, not the destination. Especially if you like A LOT of third wave post-rock (it was practically an epidemic for a good while and thankfully that tired formula died many moons ago)
