I'd say it's definitely a selling point. I wouldn't have checked this out if the theatrics and ironic message weren't there; they're a real breath of fresh air. It's all about the production with this band.
Can't wait to see them live in about 2 weeks!!!

@Halloway,
I agree with you on Satanism being a selling point but for some it wouldn't be. I know people who aren't all that keen on the 'hail satan' vibe but really dig the music/vox. It would be interesting to know how many people wouldn't actually give a damn if they didn't have the Satanic shtick.
