Heart Station, Hatsukoi, and Distance are my top Utada’s, but all the rest are right behind. Except First Love. Still haven’t checked that for some reason

Ultra Blue falls off hard after the first 4 songs, has a couple of later highlights (Passion!) but probably the most uneven of their 'best' albums. Doesn't have much of a unifying tone either
don't see many folks sticking up for Hatsukoi, so respect ig. love the bookends on that (opener so cheesy, closer so smooooooth) and it's defs super cohesive, but maybe a tad saccharine hmm

My wife and i have a real strong attachment to Hatsukoi (夕凪 in particular has always brought a lot of emotions), so that adds some extra love for it, but adored it from the jump either way.
Was also listening to Ling tosite sigure’s just A moment and i’mperfect a lot at the time too, so it was an overall great period of listening. Might have to spin all these again, actually
