I actually haven't heard lodger which is strange because I loved station to station, low and heroes.

Bowie is the only Musician I can think of that has famous periods that tend to exclude all the music surrounding those periods. He has a ziggy phase so everyone getts Ziggy and then forgets all the great stuff before and after. The Berlin Trilogy so everyone gets the trilogy but forgets it's sandwiched between Station to Station and and Scary Monsters. On a music site of course we get into talking about the other great albums but if you were a typical music listener you'd probably just grab what everyone is talking about the most. That's how it seems to me anyway, I could be wrong. If you look at the rating counts though I think they support it for the most part though. I just don't think that Heroes, Low and ZSD are as disproportionately better as the ratings counts would have you believe.

yeah, I really think So She should have made the regular edition cut, but they all fit right in perfectly, they aren't half-assed instrumentals or anything.

and agreed about the whole bowie discog thing omni. i think a big part part of it is that Bowie is such a chameleon and reinvents his sound so often that people get lost sometimes. Like Earthling is one of my fav Bowie albums but i could totally see how a fan of ziggy would hate Earthling

i have no idea, i suspect it has to do with review views and ratings because old deftones albums are always showing up on there even when there aren't that many people commenting on them
