It's not that he's trying something different or what he's trying, it's that it's terribly assembled and produced. All I'm saying is that you're complaining that Sputnik is yet again harping against this guy, yet so far you've only talked about one of the tracks not being that bad, even if it is different. @dev - oh ok i gotcha, fair point. yeah I've only heard the one track, assumed the EP wouldn't be 1-1.5/5 based on that. probably not the safest assumption because we ARE talking about Sonny Moore here, but that tower of 1s just seems like a typical sputnik overreaction. The more I talk to people like you, josh, or conrad though, the more I'm swayed to your side: the production on that one track is pretty amateur for sure, I just didn't think it was soooooooo bad, especially when compared to his most recent work.

Well my rating is 95% "hey look, it's more Skrillex material and I find it to be yet again, god awful" but yeah, that 5% stems from the apparent motivation and idol worshiping this EP seems to be indulging in. The intention seems so blatantly obvious, and I can't help but be a cynical bastard and laugh at how much of a tourist Skrillex really is. And then you top it off with the cliche artwork and you're all set

I actually agree with all of this, but I still doubt I will rate this lower than a 2 when I hear the other two songs because marking something down based on principle can only take me so far, except in extreme scenarios (which this isn't imo). (also, I just noticed your rating, perhaps you just submitted it? so I wasn't actually attacking you specifically at all)
