What annoys me about this is the fact that anyone even expected these albums to be good.

These guys have already made the same album 7 out of 8 times. Repetitive, standard rock riffs, boring
immature lyrics and a staggeringly predictable and uniform approach to song writing.

You have to be sceptical of the effort and originality of a band who can write 3 full lengths in the
space of a year or so. Real albums take a long time to write. You can't run them out on demand.

This applies to the majority of the punk rock scene to be honest. Blink 182, Sum 41, New Found Glory -
all guilty of the same thing.

That is an opinion. To my ears, every Green Day album stands on its own and has its own style.

You could say the same thing about any band. Oh, Converge has made the same album since 2000, BTBAM has made the same album for years, blah blah blah. See how ignorant that sounds? Because those bands DO stay true to their signature sound, just like Green Day. You obviously just don't like Green Day's signature sound.

To be fair, given that from Kerplunk to Idiot their releases were excellent (Yes I included Warning in that) it's going to be hard for long time fans of the band to give up hope. I just feel sorry for people who are attempting to get into Green Day with this decent, but a shadow of their old work music.

@uziclip I don't have a problem with the review. And I'm alittle too OCD with my listening habits to make up my mind on how to describe an album. Plus I don't really like GD enough (not Dookie, not Nimrod, not American Idiot, nothing) to write a review. Abraxas by Santana might be something I'm leaning towards..

Strange, the rating scale is starting to flatten out besides the 1 bar. Besides the slight maximum at 3/5, I guess people either truly think this is one of the worst albums to ever be released, or they are just rating carelessly. I am in awe that so many find it that bad.



I am not complaining or any thing, I am just really interested in the numbers side of things in addition to the music. I will continue to like this album and hopefully it doesn't grow off of me.
