I prefer the instrumentals on this album, overall. But I prefer the vocals in Children Of Fire as well. Shane has an outstanding voice. Micah is one of my favorite screamers in the genre, as is Ricky... But Micah definitely has a more rage fueled sound which makes his performance so damn intense.

A very good review I must say. I agree with all of it to the "T" pretty much. Americans is the best
track in my opinion. Overall a solid album though, favorite part is melodic guitar work (especially
when it sounds huge with delay). Haunt what's left is still my favorite because I felt every track on
there was gold due to it's perfect mix of technicality and catchy with the music and vocals.

This feels like Oh, Sleeper with the bastard child of Mike Hranica and Micah as the vocalist..
Forget Children of Fire, I'd even prefer Son of the Morning to this, tbh.

Ahh disappointed in the more generic direction, but it's still solid because they're talented musicians. The cleans completely ruin a few songs unfortunately and the new drummer can't replace Grant, however. If the entire album was up to the quality of Americans, this would be an AOTY contender.
