Honestly, I'd give this album a 4. It's a great album. They are trying to move into a progressive realm, so they are showing that they can do it well. Usually, when a band gets new members, it takes a while for the band to settle in and make music that is new on the experimental front. There is a lot of mediocre clean vocals, but the guitars make up for it.

It's disjointed but there were some cool parts then some out of place parts that didn't even fit it. I still enjoy a few songs of this. From what I'm guess, the more coherent riffs and solos were from the new guitarist and not Keene.

Loving this album. I see this as a respectable death metal band maturely experimenting with progressive, not jumping into
it wholeheartedly like The Contortionist.
