I loved Stone's Reach, but never really gave this a chance. Finally listened to the whole album today and there are some really great songs on here. I might have to bump it up to a 4.5. I definitely prefer the middle to last half of this album.

intriguing, sounds like they're adding different elements into this one

Sounds to me like they might be focusing more on songwriting instead of just overall flashy riffs, but this is based off a small sample. And there are blast beats which I don't really recall on their older albums.

In Parting is probably my favorite song off this yeah, and To Stir the Sea is such a nice little interlude

The Dream and the Waking's intro guitar line is really subdued and enjoyable as well

The intro riff to In Parting rules hard

The guitar tone makes every riff sound so damn massive on this and I love it.

Yup, I always listen to the last three tracks in succession when I'm not playing the album front to back since the transitions are so tasteful.

To Stir the Sea is simply relaxing and incredibly ambient.

Re-listening to In Parting now, I honestly forgot how much the piano and bass did for this track.
