Enjoying a lot. Read comments above...they are showing versatility. I'm on board. You were right about weird production fitting nice. Its all sludgy and filhy and still manages to guitar solos and sax to shine lol it has a rock feel to it...and resting acoustic midle track its a great mood setting. Still has the nervous weird BM tracks you see more on this one than Deathmask m/ aaaah ahh ah ahhh

Yeah, branched out into some new areas.
I loved Death Mask but felt some of the doomy sections were placeholders for good songwriting - it tended to meander a bit.
I really like what they did with God's Animal, sounds like a Mastodon song and then the darkness creeps in midway through it and becomes really gloomy.
"aaaah ahh ah ahhh"
One of the coolest parts of the whole album. Song is filthy.
