Always filler in indie? You could say there's always filler in any album of any genre.

Well, it's not really filler because I think it's supposed to be intimate and stuff but in general I just don't dig those types of songs.

The awful thing that I've noticed about this site is its tendency to compare bands to bands that they are not similar to. For example, OMAM is in fact the opposite of Mumford & Sons, no matter if I like them both. Also, the top rated indie albums (i.e. the ones above this) seem to be unlistenable with vocals that could make one cry.
Here, Of Monsters and Men stand out for their delightfully simple lyrics with never fail to put a smile on my face. Having said that, I would like to hear this band sing in Icelandic rather than sticking with their commercial approach. Sweet album.

that's everyone's tendency. and how the hell are these guys not like mumford and sons? they sing folk-pop music that appeal to the masses.
thing is, though, mumford and sons suck and these guys don't.

Great album.
This is not a genre I usually listen to. I give most bands a shot and this one was a hit for me.
Top tracks for me would be Mountain Sound, From Finner, and Six Weeks.
Catchy lyrics and great vocals. These guys can do it live too!

I never liked indie folk. It bores the hell outta me.
But I've always liked these guys for whatever.
