Cool, Alaska is sick but lots of people put it down as their weakest album even though TGM is alot worse.

Great Misdirect is their best by far.

Yeah my one buddy is real into too, it never clicked with me. Alot of it just felt like a rehash of Colors. I like the intro track and Disease, Injury, Madness and some of Swim To The Moon.

On the dvd tommy just plays a bunch of random notes for the one part in that synth solo with both his hands and feet.

When I saw them live it was fun.

I don't remember if they played it last time I saw em. I zoned out once I noticed there were college bros next to me cheering when they started playing Obfuscation like they were the new Dave Matthew's Band. It forever tainted BTBAM's image for me.

tgm is a nice album but some of it is really boring and the metal parts arent nearly as melodically fun, its prolly like a 3.5
|
| |
Yeah but you like accordions so your obvs gonna rate this higher. Bias.

actually prequel is my least favorite song on this album it kinda sucks besides the opening and the accordions, which they pull of quite well

TGM is about tied with Alaska for me.
Colors > Silent Circus > Alaska = TGM > S/T

TGM is second worst because swim to the moon is just an 18 minute mess of a song

swim to the moon is like cassandra gemini, 25 percent awesome, 75 percent boring/lolworthy, and put together awkwardly at least on here the longer songs have awesome melodies and memorable deviations of metal sections
