"Villalobos paints in blacks and whites, Talabot is all color, oversaturated and overexposed"

I bet you were an English major.

hehe jokes

I guess my only problem with this is that it's a bit uneven. They're some tracks I really like, like Destiny and Last Land, but the others sorta just pass me by, mostly because I don't really remember much of them, even if I enjoy them lots while listening. Or put another way, not many of the tracks here "stick". I was hoping for more Deloreany summer chorus-y stuff - 's why I like Destiny so much.

Also, new Saltillo is very... heavy?

I agree that the album is passively enjoyable but only about half the tracks stick. It's only his debut though, he'll get better.

Yes but at the same time, it's not like these are his first tracks. Or the beginning of his musical career

This album would probably be a 4.5 or even 5 in my book if every song sounded more like "So Will Be Now..." Although, I've only listened to the record twice through, and I anticipate this growing on me. It's dank as hell.

the synth sound in El Oeste is just about perfect. Whoever said it sounded like Donkey Kong Country Water level music was right
