C&C, there's really no point in explaining it. As Iluvatar has said it will be able to go under two genres soon. One to show the old side of the band and one for this release.

Hi, yeah. This is still in PUNK. I want it fucking moved.

All of this stupid genre bitching. Like it actually matters. Jeez Louise.

It matters because it was in Punk, when it's not a punk release. It's been fixed, the issue is over.

Wow, people are really hating on this album. I stand by my opinion of this being awesome, I don't get people who are apparently into music in general yet can't get past something as trivial as a slightly high-pitched/nasal/"whiney" voice.

That's not trivial. That's a huge part of the band's sound. Okay, don't like it, but my point is that people actually think the music is bad (as in, of low quality) because of it, and that's just dumb. It happens a lot though, lots of people think Coheed and Cambria is a bad band because their singer sounds like a lady.
Iluvatar (I never understood your name ) - Yeah, I get you, though I disagree.

The talent these 19 year olds have puts a lot of bands to shame. However metal is not really my thing, but have to respect what they are doing.

I was always convinced that iluvatar was a portmanteau for I LUV AVATARS LOL.
I don't get people who are apparently into music in general yet can't get past something as trivial as a slightly high-pitched/nasal/"whiney" voice.
Well, I love Coheed & Cambria and Claudio's voice is more high-pitched than this, but I stilll don't think this is good.

Me too, he can obviously hit the right notes, and his voice is pretty versatile.

Very good band, but when it comes to the live circuit they are somewhat poor.
|

The only thing that makes their live shows bad is hardcore dancers. You pay more attention to the douches in the middle of the floor than the band.
I think Turn Soonest to the Sea and Blindfolds Aside are just completely orgasm inducing songs
Every other song is great too, but those are my favorites

Yeah, the major key breaks in those songs (the "a sin I didn't care for" and the "maybe some day whe this bloody skull has dried" parts) are frickin' awesome. Although the rest is just as awesome.

the vocal is just "ugh"... Doesn't fit the music at all

They're actually amazing live, they're just more of a club band. They've been touring for about a year now, non-stop. They're tired and just getting used to playing for bigger bands.

Club...like trance. So you mean they're sick when they're playing local shoes, where all the kids are into them or know them thus making a band unreal fun. The real test of how good a band is live is when nobody in the crowd knows them and nobody is moving. For example, Trophy Scars still played really hard and were fun when I saw them and there were only about 15 people in the audience. Same with HORSE the band. Their scheduling got goofed up and they ended up playing at 2 in the morning after all the locals who had seen their friends bands play had gone home, yet they still destroyed. The LCD is the true test.

No, I'm saying they just haven't gotten used to playing for huge crowds yet. I'll admit the last two times I saw them I was sort of disappointed, but it was because of technical issues and the fact the band is wiped.
I've seen them play for both 5 and 500 people, and kill it both times.

I like this band. The arguing on this thread is also somewhat amusing.

Also, though I didn't mention this at the time, the main reason to neg this reason is the massive weight on the lyrical content and the fact that the only musical analysis you did was just descibed your personal reaction to tempo changes between songs. The lyrics are a footnote to most of the people who are going to be reading power-metal-influenced bands' reviews.
