That's sort of what I'm trying to say, except I'm using filthy to mean skrillex-esque drops and heavy

to mean "filthy" drops that show some restraint.

I heard someone say dubstep shouldn't be about trying to fill up the sequencer like it's a 100 piece

jigsaw puzzle. Can't remember who that was but I liked it.

It the same concept behind what people have been trying to dub "complextro" which is not only retarded

itself but I don't see how that's anything but a complete gimmick.

That is by no means the best track in the world or anything, but I enjoy it because it is just so simple, and more effective as a result of that. It's just one bassline being manipulated and nothing more, none of this cut and paste pitch shifted vocals over 5 different layers of synths and 3 different kinds of bass wobbles bullshit

Yeah I hear you. Same note here, the first half or so of that track is so awesomely groovy, then he just starts cutting it up and adding shit everywhere and it doesn't add anything to the track at all:

When talking dubstep I almost always prefer the heavier original sounds that artists like Distance and old Rusko have. This song is so much better than any brostep I've ever heard:

This is my chance to be really lame and correct some grammar in the review

"Insure" should be "ensure" because the former is only used when it relates to insurance
