This album is surely an addictive one. Whenever the weather hits the rain or i am in depressive mood, this album connects naturally with the experience. Nice rating bumps on Riverside album folks!

Some all time fave tracks of mine, especially the t/t. What a gorgeous piece of music!

Great album. The production is teeny bit wonky though. Nitpicking. Love the “slow” songs. Great atmosphere.

''Love the “slow” songs.''
This times a hundred. The slower and quieter moments are where this really shines. I don't need them to go very 'metal'.

Conceiving You is seriously perfect

Yeah it is. One of my fave Riverside tracks.
It annoys me that this contains some of their absolute best tracks, top 10/top 5 material, yet it also contains a few annoying ones. Oh well!

Which songs do you consider annoying? Artificial Smile is the only weak song here for me. Love the bridge though
I WISH YOU TOOOLD ME THAT BEFOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE TRIFFFFF

IIII WIISSHH YOU TOLLD MEE THAAT BEEFOOOOOOORRREEEEEEEEEE...
Genius.
It is exactly that one yeah, Artifical Smile. Plus Volte-Face. And I don't really like Reality Dream III either. Conceiving You, Second Life Syndrome, I Turned You Down and Dance With The Shadow are all top-tier Riverside tracks though. My goodness it is insane how much they rule. If it were just those four tracks on a weirdo EP, it would be my 5.0est 5.0 ever. Probably. Almost. But still.

That's like... weird

I can't believe I haven't gotten into the rest of their discog yet; Time Machine is great but I missed some great prog-metal here

Haha, let's continue this conversation across many a month: no, I don't really care for those tracks. But the highs here are so incredibly high, oh my.

Let's be honest, Conceiving You is a simp's song. But it's a phenomenal simp's song.

Yes it is. So good. Very glad they felt this too, judging by them deciding to explore that direction to the fullest on Love Fear And The Time Machine.

I'm starting to feel that this 3.5 needs to be a 4.0 after all. I really never listen to this back to back, ever, but some of the individual songs are career highlights and personal faves of mine. This makes it super hard to rate, but I guess a 3.5 is quite mean... Hmmm... What to do?
