Alpine and Hey Rosetta! killed it last night, by the way. You should all check out those amazing bands instead of wasting your time with this porridge.

Ooh yes, I must get onto Hey Rosetta as well. Sowing, are there similarities in sound at all?

Good to hear Jash. Album is a bit front-loaded, but there isn't really a bad track here.

its more like arcade fire if they went in more of an unpredictable indie-rock direction

Thanks... Although, I think The Jezabels sound a bit like "arcade fire if they went in more of an unpredictable indie-rock direction". But the description sounds promising either way.

The 2 bands are also touring Nth America soon, swapping headline slots over there.

Gyro digs everything that I dig. It's the Def Leppard connection.

I still think the LP version of Plan Your Escape is Hey Rosetta's best album. Highest rated album on

both here and RYM but practically no one has listened to it, it seems. Becky/Red Confederates didn't

make the EP version of it, and they're some of the best songs the band's done. Pre the power-pop they

do now, but still their best stuff.

Also yeah, Brisbane concert was awesome. Expectedly high turnout of lesbians though of course :P

Mostly. Lesbians, Triple J bogans and barely-legal faux-hippies were the general make-up of their crowd.
