It's not worth continuing this because as you correctly state, i'm not really part of the wider community here, and do not wish to be seen as a "trouble maker". However, to say that "The problem here is that you just came in screaming accusations " is false. I negged the review because i felt it wasn't up to muster for the site, and backed up my view which i felt was the standard process for fair comment. I'd say it wasn't an overreaction on my part to be surprised when two people start trolling me, especially given their standing.
I don't wish to stir things up further in taylor's review; in the past i've read and appreciated both your reviews(Wizard) and Rasputin's, and respected both of you because of them, though if i were to be honest that's diminished a little because of this. This review doesn't have, in my opinion, a great use of language, and it's shown me that the review rating system is flawed and effectively pointless.
I apologise for having a different opinion and trying to back it up.

maybe some of the wording in this review is a little unnecessary but theres nothing wrong with this review at all, its very well written and does make its points very well. The hate/negs for this review are not deserved.

^ Yes, it seems less prolific users such as myself are being put in our place by the more accomplished veterans. In my case I was told to "shut up" for contributing to an alleged overuse of the dreaded term "pretentious". This makes me sad, but I will carry on with or without their approval/validation. No, the review doesn't suck, most people just have the contention that it does because
1. the structure
2. the language used
3. the rating
but i mean, jake has been using this language and structure for the whole time he's been writing reviews and they are really well received. This one is no different, but it's getting hated on so go figure.

I just think it's really weird that sputnik clearly negates the purpose of asking what people think of the review.

OK, so you are saying the language and the structure used are irrelevant to determining whether a review is well written? You know that is asinine.
And I couldn't care less if this reviewer has posted similarly worded and structured reviews that were well received in the past. This is the first such review I have seen. Clearly many of the people who have read THIS review think it is poorly written and gave it a neg. If I come across one his reviews like this in the future, I will vote the same way. My understanding is that the opinions of all in the community count. Censoring based on disagreement makes this site a fraud.

That is such a cop out. We must think be giving the review negs because we don't agree with the score. Keep ignoring the point that we think the review is simply not well written. BTW, I've been listening to the album for a couple of days and likely won't rate it above a 3.5. Irrelevant.
