On the contrary, I think this is considerably more boring for people who ARE into progressive rock, especially of the Swedish '70s knockoff variety. Anekdoten and Anglagard did this album better. Far better.

nah, i did older prog rock and i'd say this is on par.
the vocals are fine honestly, i think it's just exposing the songwriting that wasn't that great to begin with. if you growl something cheesy it won't sound as cheesy as when you croon that shit
