Dude, can I be added to your bullies list?

But seriously, nobody has made fun of you personally. They've all said, if you like the band, that's good for you, but the band is awful.

woah calm down fella. I'm pretty sure it was all in jest. its not rly bullying (I'd know trust me) since it was aimed at people who like Nickelback in general. don't let it get to ya mate cos if that gets to you so badly then how are you gonna handle real bullying? Just don't worry. This is just music afterall.

This band sure does like roads. I mean 3 out of 4 of their album covers have a road on them. On even has road in the name. Man, they're dumb.

To ifeveryonecared:

If you get offended that easily then the internet is not for you. By the way, I've never heard anyone say that they were getting "bullied" over the internet. This Message Edited On 04.20.07

i aint saying theyre scaring me or hurting me. ( ha,ha ) , but by definintion a bully is some lonely twat who wants to threaten someone and put them down because of their beliefs or in this case their tastes.

all you guys are the same.you look up a nickelback album and type in some stupid comment like--------- they include roads in their album covers too much.

Who cares.Get over yourselves.

They're certainly huge, and don't deserve all the shit they get. As far as mainstream rock, they're pretty good. But as far as music in the broad scope of things, they're pretty sub-par, but not terrible. They have enjoyable songs. And to the reviewer:
1. The lyrics to Rockstar are supposed to be cliche. I think all of them are pretty damn funny.
2. How the hell do you not know what a Pez dispenser is? That line makes the song!

Pretty good review though, even if I don't agree. This Message Edited On 04.20.07

Well, I respected you until you accused me of not liking the band because of roads on their album cover. I was just commenting on that.

My girlfriend has this album and I've been forced to listen to it many times. I also bought Silver Side Up when I was like 11 or 12 years old. I grew out of it, though.

I'll explain why I hate this album since you don't believe that it's possible for someone to really hate it. The lyrics are juvenile and embarrassing. They sound like they were written by a 16 year old football jock and I don't relate to that kind of garbage. Everything about the band is a dime a dozen and the other bands that sound just like this are slightly better. Guitar work is practically non-existent. I like good and creative lead guitar. This is just generic and boring. Basically, the band is boring as hell to me.

I agree with everything you just said, but the lyrics in Rockstar alone merit it a 1.5.

Oh yea, and I forgot to add that my comment about all the roads was more of a joke than anything.

The lyrics in Rockstar may not be nearly as bad as the other song lyrics on this album, but when you compare this band's lyrics to the lyrics from a band like In Flames or Opeth, Nickelback's lyrics seem extremely laughable and one-dimensional.

In Flames is my absolute favorite band, far and away, and Opeth was amazing on Gigantour last year. The rest of the lyrics are ridiculous (listen to Animals), but the first time I heard Rockstar on the radio I almost died laughing. They're supposed to be cliche, and its pretty damn funny. This Message Edited On 04.24.07

Animals is far and away the most ridiculous on the album in terms of lyrics. I was trying to be nice because I thought you were serious about Rockstar, haha. The lyrics are extremely cliche.

Rockstar is terrible. I'm indifferent to Nickelback, but I can't stand Rockstar at all.

Nickelback definitely don't deserve all the radio play they get, but they're not a horrible band. Good musicians (especially Daniel Adair), but Chad Kroeger voice is annoying at times.

well, personally i really hate savin' me, because i think that it's overdramatically overplayed. i mean, there's a catchy tune going on, but nickelback seems to be using it too frequently. of course, we're all entitled to our opinions.

I'm kind of torn because this is a fantastic review but I hate this band.
