well, Ever Forthright's s/t is pretty cool, Nami's Fragile Alignments, this band is similar to Protest the Hero, Vildhjarta and Uneven Structure, Sikth, Textures, Tesseract and probably Periphery.

Out of all the bands Cake listed, the only one really worth checking out is SikTh. They're pretty different than the other listed bands anyway, though most bands in this genre are very derivative of their general sound. Nami's album is really boring. Vildhjarta are decent but ultimately unmemorable. Uneven Structures are pretty good, more of the wall-of-sound post-metal aesthetic. Textures are like Meshuggah-lite but their new album was lame. Periphery have some great moments mixed with lots of dull and/or gay parts. TesseracT are like a less gay but more boring Periphery.

yeah vildhjarta isn't that memorable, i really enjoyed Nami's album though you may also. Tesseract, Periphery, and Textures aren't bad but they're not superb either. They have some cool moments. But in the end just check em out, who knows what you'll think of 'em

I second NAMI, album is like a less epic Opeth (Blackwater park era) but with less repetition and superior vocals.

But they don't sound like this band at all, if that doesn't matters go for NAMI, Protest The Hero, SikTh and Uneven Structure. If it matters, the only band I know that resembles these guys is Periphery.
