@Dr: Disagreed, I always disliked their style of riffs. On Arche they finally like their way of groove until their earlier material where it just sounds boring and dull.

Oh definately, I'll never deny their leads and sense of atmosphere. It's just they have too many dull boring riffs and songwriting fumbles for me to really like the band until Arche.

Dir en Grey compositions for me have usually ranged from simply good to just flat-out amazing. I like Jessica not for how bouncy it is, but the songwriting in particular stands out; props to bandleader Kaoru. Admittedly, Vulgar seemed awkward at times regarding the arrangements, but maybe the production style had something to do with it... I dunno, really.

No mention of Juuyoku?? Love the way that song amps up the speed after Dreambox. And it's got some sick lead melodies, the dual guitar melody in the bridge is so sick.
Unlike a lot of people though, I don't see how this album isn't cohesive.
