Weird ass take lol. This album is pretty decent but it pales in comparison to Low, Station to Station, Ziggy, etc. It might be better than Heroes, altho Heroes has Beauty and the Beast, t.t, and Arabia. It's much harder to identify clear highlights on this. After two spins I think I like Red Sails, Look Back in Anger and Yassassin the most

it's his best, more like. I love every track here, which is more than i can say about any other Bowie album.
The production never bothered me, it's not the best part about the album, but it's far from awful imo.

Halfway through Scary Monsters atm and it utterly annihilates this album. This is still a solid album overall tho. Some feelgood vibes throughout, definitely not among his strongest imo but to each their own. I might like it more than Heroes idk. Heroes is tough to crack. There are like 3 or 4 fantastic songs and a bunch of stuff that just feels like filler to me
