I'd love to hear a new record from these dudes. This was definitely a solid album and an improvement on previous efforts.

When I last saw these guys I was talking with them at the merch table and they mentioned they were working on a new album, so what you heard is probably true.

In my opinion, the song structure and acoustic integration is what works the best with this album. I'm just not convinced that what they do with the riffs and BM aesthetic is able to live up to their contemporaries. I never heard a riff or melody during the heavier sections that stood out.

Feel like this band has such a juicy blend of bm and classic rock with some loosely proggy elements. I've enjoyed all their output so far.

I've never heard classic rock before or proggy elements, huh. I guess the guitar solos have some classic rock heritage.

A friend of mine who happens to be one of the best guitarists I know immediately said "Jimmy Paige!" when I showed him Vigilance Perennial

For real, I can see that. I remember the first time I heard it, I was impressed that they were able to make those solos work. They should almost sound out of place, but they don't. I think it's what deafheaven tried to do with Baby Blue but they fucked up hard.
